WILDWOOD – On Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., the Wildwood Police Department will participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Officers will be at the Wawa located at 3200 New Jersey Avenue within the City of Wildwood, where you can turn in any unwanted or expired prescription medicines for destruction. The program is anonymous and individuals disposing of medications will not be required to produce identification.
If you are unable to attend this event, you can dispose of unwanted or expired medications at any time in the Project Medicine Drop disposal box, located in the lobby of Wildwood Police Department Headquarters (4400 New Jersey Avenue).
Those turning in prescription medications in their original container are encouraged to remove any labels containing personal information prior to disposal. Liquid products, such as cough medicines, should remain sealed in their original containers. Syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted.
