WILDWOOD CREST — The Borough of Wildwood Crest will host a grand opening ceremony for its newly constructed Fitness Park on Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
The facility is along the east side of Ocean Avenue between Forget-Me-Not and Palm roads.
The newly landscaped, lighted fitness park includes a cement walking/jogging track that circumferences the park and is 1,069 feet in length (five laps is just over one mile; 5,345 feet).
Local and county officials will be on hand for the grand opening, which will include a ceremonial ribbon cutting and a ceremonial first walk/jog around the park by the Crest Memorial Elementary School cross country team.
The public is encouraged to attend the event.
