Wildwood Announces Joint Planning/Zoning Board Openings

By Herald Staff

WILDWOOD — The Board of Commissioners has announced that they are currently in the process of combining the Planning Board and the Zoning Board into a Joint Planning/Zoning Board.
Any resident who has an interest in serving the community in this function, is invited to submit a letter of interest, along with some background information, to the Board of Commissioners.
“We are very excited to combine the Planning and Zoning Boards. This move is just one part of our city-wide reorganization,” stated Mayor Gary DeMarzo in a release.
“We are looking for a diverse group of people from the community. The Planning/Zoning Board will be comprised of the largest cross section we could possibly assemble. We are searching for people with varying degrees of experience and interests, and we are seeking to involve everyone from residents to members of civic organizations to local business owners. We also encourage anyone who has never served before and want the opportunity to become involved in the community. We invite everyone to apply,” the mayor stated.
