The new owner of West Wildwood Liquors says the business will essentially stay the same, but with a new name – Deep Sea Liquors.

WEST WILDWOOD – In the next few weeks, West Wildwood Liquors’ name will be changed to Deep Sea Liquors after the Board of Commissioners approved a person-to-person transfer of the liquor license to the new owner.

Borough Administrator Donna Frederick said the store had sold and the transfer authorized. She said she sent the paperwork to the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for approval.

The new owner, James Schickling, said the business, located at Glenwood and Neptune avenues, would essentially stay the same other than introducing a new product or two.

“Why change what works?” he said.

Schickling said the new sign should be ready before Memorial Day.
