Vol. Fire Company Becomes Official in West Cape May/Parade Court Honored

WEST CAPE MAY- Mayor Pamela Kaithern and Commissioner Ramsey Geyer presented West Cape May Volunteer Fire Company Chief Chuck McPherson with a plaques recognizing the fire company as official fire company for the borough at a ceremony Monday Nov. 30.
The borough passed an ordinance last week giving the volunteer fire company official status.
In addition, the Queen of the West Cape May Christmas Parade was presented with her court. Katherine Swan, 2008 parade queen, and Jacqueline Garcia 2009 parade princess were presented with $50 bonds from the mayor and West Cape May Christmas Parade Chairperson Charlotte Daily.
The 2009 parade queen, Lilly Swan was presented with a $100 savings bond.
The West Cape May Volunteer Fire Company presented the parade committee with an $800 check from a fundraiser the fire company held to benefit the annual parade.
