Van Drew Lauds Senate Action on Sept. 11 Act

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep.  Jeff Van Drew (D-2nd) released the following statement on The Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act being passing in the Senate:

“I am pleased and proud of my colleagues in the Senate for passing the Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act. This has been a long time in the works and now the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund has been reauthorized through 2092.  to help pay the health care bills for thousands of first responders and survivors of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.”

 “This is another example of bipartisan legislation that we can work hard on and pass to do what is right for the American people, particularly our heroes. I hope to continue this hard work in a bipartisan, bicameral way.”
