SEA ISLE CITY – During public comment at the Dec. 10 Sea Isle City Council meeting, long-time resident Tom Maguire noted that his vantage of living at a major intersection near the fire department has allowed him to see that there’s “no reason to use fire equipment to follow police cars dispatched to an address whenever there is a reported potential gas leak or fire. This seems to be a waste of time and resources.”
Council and city administration did not comment, although, at prior meetings, have emphasized that all movements and activities by the fire and police departments follow approved and well-established safety protocols.
