PETERSBURG – Upper Township Business Administrator Scott Morgan briefed Upper Township Committee Dec. 17 about plans to create an improved park area at the Beesley’s Point “Harbor Road Gateway” at the site of the new Great Egg Harbor Bridge.
“The county is working on a new logo and branding for its Open Space projects that will also include kiosks, benches and improved park amenities. The objective is to have a cohesive concept that will introduce a standard suite of amenities, and the county is working with landscapers and marketers to achieve this vision.
“Our Harbor Road site is unique in the county in that it’s a space that can be utilized for fishing, boating, biking and swimming, so it’s a good place for the kick-off of the program,” said Morgan.
Mayor Richard Palombo added that signboards with historically-significant information would be incorporated as well as informational and way-finding signage.
