Unauthorized ATV Use Continues in Upper

PETERSBURG – Business Administrator Gary DeMarzo informed Upper Township Committee members at their Aug. 22 meeting that ATV use in unauthorized areas is a growing problem.
During public comment reports of dirt biking in secluded parts of the Township are periodically the subject of resident complaints. The new concerns go beyond the issue with dirt bikes.
The committee discussed more signage as a possible remedy. Signs that indicate “No Trespassing” and “No ATV Use” will be implemented as soon as possible. Municipal railroad beds and parcels were identified as areas of particular concern. Abutting private property has been the scene of some damage.
