WILDWOOD CREST ─ Borough Commissioners met April 12. As stated in the third resolution, residents can expect camera crews and cast from the HGTV (Home and Garden Television) series “Beach Front Bargain Hunt.”
According to borough officials, the upcoming episode will be filmed “at various locations in Wildwood Crest” from April 29 to May 2. They have not yet been made aware of the exact locations by HGTV spokespersons.
A special events permit was granted to Magilla Entertainment LLC for the purpose of the TV shoot.
“Beach Front Bargain Hunt” features individuals searching for the ideal beachfront property based on their budget and desired location.
Beware of Scam
Capt. Robert Lloyd of the Wildwood Crest Police Department also made an announcement. According to Lloyd, one borough resident reported an alleged scam where the individual claimed to be from Publisher’s Clearing House. “If you have any questions, please call us – we’ll help you out,” said Lloyd.
Class II Officers
Borough police will soon welcome seven Class II officers, recently graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy.
Christine Edwards, Christopher Geresi, Patrick Kane, Kyle Klemas, Cory McDermott, Shane Moyer, and Delcan Rae will serve during the summer.
“How many (officers) do we usually get?” Commissioner Joyce Gould inquired. Lloyd replied that the number varies.
According to Mayor Carl Groon, the borough is still awaiting word on the Army Corps of Engineer’s dune-line project.
