TRENTON — An Ocean City man has been nominated for appointment to the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority, which is a private, non-profit agency that markets the Atlantic City region as a favored destination for visitors and conventions.
According to a release, Richard E. Tolson’s name was submitted to the state Senate for approval on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Tolson was previously appointed to another state board. In Oct. 2007, he was named to the state Economic Development Authority, which is dedicated to broadening the state’s economic base by building communities, creating and maintaining jobs, and providing businesses with financial and technical support.
Tolson also ran unsuccessfully for Ocean City Council in 2004.
