PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee member John Coggins asked Engineer Paul Dietrich Nov. 12 about the status of a stop sign to address the “dangerous intersection” at Church and Stagecoach roads.
“Way back in mid-spring, our committee approved a four-way stop sign for this very dangerous intersection,” said Coggins. “The county, whose go-ahead we also needed, since these are county roads, approved it as well around that time. Since that time, there have been numerous accidents, and we really need to get this stop sign installed.”
“The last I checked, the stop sign, which will be a blinking-light, four-way stop sign, was per county personnel in a work orders backlog, explained Dietrich. “I’m aware of at least two accidents in just the last two months, so I’ll touch base with the right staff to get this moving.”
Deputy Mayor Edward Barr said he was not happy about the delay, and would contact Freeholder Will Morey to get the sign installed as soon as possible.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
