Southern New Jersey Freeholders’ Association Installs Officers; Hayes Sworn as VP

CAMDEN – The Southern New Jersey Freeholders’ Association (SNJFA) installed its 2019 officers Jan. 14, at their annual meeting held at the Camden County Boathouse on the Cooper River in Pennsauken.
According to a release, freeholders sworn for the 2019 term included; Jonathon Young, president, from Camden County; E. Marie Hayes, vice-president, from Cape May County; Carol Musso, treasurer, from Cumberland County; and, Virginia Haines, secretary, from Ocean County.
The officers were sworn in by N.J. Sen. Troy Singleton (D-7th) who also congratulated the directors for their work and dedication to public service.
Outgoing President Gerald M. Thornton, congratulated the new slate of officers and thanked the organization for their continued service and commitment to work together for the good of all the counties and the state.
The annual Southern Star award was presented at the annual meeting to John Donnadio, executive director of the New Jersey Association of Counties, for his continued work on behalf of issues facing counties statewide.
The award usually goes to a freeholder for outstanding service, but Donnadio was unanimously voted by the members to receive this year’s award.
SNJFA is comprised of the eight southern counties and includes, Gloucester, Burlington, Camden, Ocean, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May Counties.
