DENNISVILLE – During the Nov. 19 Dennis Township Committee meeting, a resolution was approved, authorizing a power purchase agreement with Cambria Solar Construction, LLC, for the installation of solar power on municipal property.
Mayor Zeth Matalucci said that the solar power system would be installed, without cost to the municipality, and that the expected saving in yearly energy cost would be around $7,000.
He expressed disappointment with Atlantic City Electric, with its changing and reducing the projected amount of energy savings during the process leading up to the decision to install solar; however, the committee believes the decision to install solar power is warranted, and will make a positive impact on the municipality’s balance sheet.
