SEA ISLE CITY – It’s the season for municipalities in New Jersey to receive a grade from the state’s Department of Community Affairs on their Best Practices survey.
Sea Isle City Chief Financial Officer Jennifer McIver was pleased to report to city council Oct. 25 that the town had passed with flying colors. As a result, the island municipality will receive 100% of the previously expected state funding.
“However, we did not receive any points for having an electric vehicle charging station and also because we have no plans to install one on municipal property,” McIver explained. “As well, another related question that we had to answer in the negative and so did not receive credit for was that we do not use any hybrid vehicles and that we have no plans to purchase any.”
