OCEAN CITY – George Savastano, Sea Isle City’s business administrator, will serve as Ocean City’s interim business administrator. That will be in addition to his primary job in a shared service agreement between the two cities.
He’s set to fill in for former Ocean City business administrator James Mallon while the city searches for a full-time replacement. Mallon’s resignation took effect June 1. Savastano is an Ocean City resident and the former public works director there.
“I look forward to working with George on a seamless transition and to make sure all our projects and initiatives continue uninterrupted,” wrote Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian in announcing the appointment.
