TRENTON – Sen. Michael Testa (R-1st) made the following remarks in response to Trenton Democrats’ swift advancement of legislation that would give drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants while simultaneously approving legislation to eliminate religious exemptions for vaccinations:
“Apparently, the rights of legal citizens come second in New Jersey. On the fifth of December, I took an Oath of Office affirming that I will support the Constitution of the State of New Jersey and the Constitution of the United States. Since my swearing-in, I have witnessed the blatant disregard for the rule of law by our state’s own elected leaders in Trenton.
“Democrat legislators demonstrated clearly yesterday how convoluted their priorities are for running New Jersey. They passed one bill that gives illegal immigrants a privilege that should be reserved for legal residents, and another that strips away the right to practice religion as they see fit, free from government interference or discrimination that is afforded by the U.S. and New Jersey constitutions. It is time to refocus and make the rights of New Jersey residents the priority.”
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
