Sea Isle Passes Final Budget, City’s Largest Surplus Included

SEA ISLE CITY – At its March 24 regular meeting, City Council passed several ordinances related to city finances. Among these was the final adoption of the 2020 $25 million local municipal budget, passed with provisions as previously introduced, including highlights that are local taxes hold steady.
The budget’s amount slightly increased from last year’s $24.6 million spending plan and also boasts of a $6.4 million surplus, the largest in municipal history, according to Mayor Leonard Desiderio.
