WILDWOOD – City Commissioners passed an ordinance June 12, which approved the sale of municipal property not needed for public use along Ottens Harbor.
According to the ordinance, the private sale is to “contiguous property owners.” Commissioner Peter Byron said that certain properties have been expanded over time, infringing upon city-owned land.
However, the “upland” no longer required will be sold to property owners “for fair market value under the condition those parcels will merge with and be consolidated with the respective contiguous lot.” Surveys are at the expense of homeowners, said Byron.
