Roadway Extended

NORTH CAPE MAY – A contract change order for additional engineering services was approved by Lower Township Council for the Beach Drive Sidewalk Improvement Project in North Cape May. This change called for an extension of the existing roadbed/repaving portion of that project approximately two blocks further north of Fernwood Avenue where the project was supposed to end. Administrator James Ridgway explained that since the initial project was to stop at Fernwood, it made sense to complete the roadway portion of the project to include two blocks of the roadway to the dead end. This change is for roadway only, no sidewalks or curbing would be added.
