Rare Foreclosure Reported in Stone Harbor

209 109th St. Stone Harbor

By Vince Conti

STONE HARBOR – As Stone Harbor Tax Collector Deborah Candelore gave her report to Stone Harbor Borough Council Dec. 3, she might as well have been reporting the sighting of a unicorn.
Candelore spoke of the busy end of year time, when her office strives to maintain the borough’s 99% collection rate for another year.
“We have a foreclosure coming up,” she said. Foreclosures are not common in Stone Harbor.
Candelore admitted that this would be her “first foreclosure ever.” She was appointed in early 2011. “It has been a really long time since we had a foreclosure,” she added.
The property, which she announced to council, is located at 209 109th St.
