Post Offices Plan Shorter Hours Aug. 30

By Herald Staff

BELLMAWR — South Jersey Post Offices will be open Aug. 30, but many plan to shorten lobby hours. Regular mail delivery on that date will not be affected, according to a release.
In observance of Labor Day weekend, many businesses modify operations and the number of customers visiting post office lobbies greatly diminishes. As a result, post offices in some locations will close retail operations early on Aug. 30.
Because some local closing times could vary, customers are encouraged to check with their local post office for the exact closing time. Revised hours will be posted at each post office.
To obtain the telephone number of a specific post office, customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS. Commercial customers are asked to check with their Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit for Aug. 30 hours of operation.
