PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• The Ocean City Police Department Tip of the Month: Ocean City Police have a ZERO tolerance when it comes to enforcing quality of life issues such as noise and unlawful consumption of alcohol. We encourage the public to contact the Police Department whenever they feel a violation is occurring. There is a six officer noise/alcohol unit specifically assigned to handle these complaints throughout the summer months.
• The Ocean City Police Department is providing bicycle helmets to the children of the community. This program is established to promote bicycle safety. We encourage all persons to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle, scooter or skateboard.
• Just a reminder that all parking meters are now in effect and being enforced throughout the city.
• The Ocean City Relay for Life Cancer event is coming on June 26, 2009. The event starts at 6pm on Friday and lasts until 9am on Saturday. Teams and participants are still welcomed to join. For information go to the Relay for Life website and search Ocean City, NJ.
