Ocean City Police Chief Prettyman, Officers Take Oaths

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City Police Department, families and friends convened Feb. 13 at the Ocean City Tabernacle for a ceremony that ushered in a new chief, two captains, four lieutenants, five sergeants and 10 officers.
Judge Richard Russell administered their oaths.
Chief John J. Prettyman took the oath to replace Chief Chad Callahan. Prettyman was accompanied by his wife Tiffany, daughter Chloe, who held the Bible, and his father John Prettyman.
New captains were William Campbell and Charles Simonson.
New lieutenants were Clinton Helphenstine, Brian Hopely, David Rowland and Robert Reichanek.
New sergeants were William Lick, Anthony Fearnhead, Patrick Walsh, Peter Kardas and John Vogt.
Officers taking their oaths were Michael Hinsley, Jacob Johnson, Neal Cullen, Stephen Schmidt, Jenna Cuomo, Clayton Harper, Jonathan Simonson, Randall Clark, James Crowley and Benjamin Bethea.
