Ocean City Police Arrest Two for Theft, Possession

OCEAN CITY — On Sept. 22, at 9:03 p.m. Ocean City police responded to a report of two suspicious males attempting to gain entry into a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue.
The suspects were chased away by the owner of the van who was then able to provide police with a physical description of the suspects.
A short time later suspects fitting the description were located riding bicycles attempting to leave town via the Longport Bridge.
The officer observed that the suspects were in possession of bolt cutters when they were stopped.
In addition the bicycles they were riding had identification from a local bicycle rental business in the 800 block of Eighth Street.
Upon checking that business it was discovered that a cable lock had been cut and bicycles had been taken.
The suspects were also found to be in possession of marijuana and packaging material commonly used for the sale of marijuana.
Arrest warrants were issued for both subjects by Judge Richard Russell. Arrested were: Ishmil B. Letson and Kevin E. Robinson, both of Pleasantville.
Both subjects were transported to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
Charges: Distribution Marijuana, theft, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglar tools.
Bail of $25,000 or 10 percent was set.
