NORTH WILDWOOD – According to an amendment passed Aug. 6, no “lifting, raising … or other improvements” can be made to buildings from June 15–Sept. 8.
The amendment includes foundation work. “Any such work must be complete, with the site clean and graded, prior to June 15,” reads the ordinance. The addition was made at the suggestion of North Wildwood construction officials, said Mayor Patrick Rosenello.
Any house-raising permit issued before the moratorium period “must be complete to the point of having the structure lowered onto and securely attached to the new foundation,” according to the amendment.
