NORTH WILDWOOD – The seawall and bike path are re-opened in North Wildwood, and the boardwalk will now open for takeout only, officials said. The bike path and sea wall had been closed, except from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., and the boardwalk was shut down.
“We have not seen any crowds or social distancing issues on the bike path or sea wall,” Rosenello said. “Hindsight, there probably was not a good reason to shut them down.”
Short-term rentals and current beach restrictions will remain in place until May 7. Rosenello said he anticipates revisiting each closure every two weeks.
That timeframe would allow for one more decision before the big one, as Memorial Day Weekend approaches.
