COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Committee’s annual municipal reorganization meeting is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2020 at 4 p.m., in the municipal Meeting Room/Court Room and will establish the events and plans set for 2020.
According to a release, action items will include newly elected officials taking the oaths of office; reorganizing the governing body assignments for the year; and finalizing details such as setting meeting dates and determining the official newspaper.
Among those to be sworn, will be James Norris, the newly elected committeeman. Norris will take office effective Jan. 1, and join fellow Republicans Mayor Timothy Donohue and Deputy Mayor Theron “Ike” Gandy as part of Middle Township Committee’s governing body.
“Reorganization meetings prepare Middle Township for the upcoming year,” stated Donohue. “We’re excited to have James join the committee and help us continue our agenda on the projects and improvements planned for 2020.”
With the 3-0 majority, the Middle Township Committee remains in Republican control for the second consecutive year.
Residents are welcome to attend the reorganization meeting at 4 p.m. at Middle Township Municipal Building, Meeting Room/Court Room located at 33 Mechanic Street, Court House.
