COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner was sworn in as President of the Cape May County Police Chiefs Association, Jan. 29, at the Chiefs Instillation Dinner held at The Reeds at Shelter Haven Resort Stone Harbor, New Jersey.
Chief Leusner will serve a two (2) year term as President of the association.
Also elected to two (2) year terms were:
Chief Robert Regalbuto, Wildwood Police Department – Vice President
Chief Chad Callahan, Ocean City Police Department – Treasurer
Chief William Mastriana, Lower Township Police Department – Recording Secretary
The officers were congratulated by outgoing President, Chief Thomas D’Intino, Sea Isle City Police Department and received State Proclamations from State Senator, Jeff Van Drew along with Assemblyman, Robert Andrzejczak and Bruce Land who were also in attendance at the Installation Dinner.
The Vice President, Treasurer, and Recording Secretary were officially sworn in to their positions with an Oath of Office administered by Cape May County Prosecutor, Robert Taylor. The President was sworn in by Freeholder Leonard Desiderio.
The Cape May County Police Chiefs Association members include all Police Chiefs in Cape May County, The Cape May County Prosecutor, Cape May County Sheriff, Director of the Cape May County Police Academy, the Station Commander of the Woodbine State Police Barracks, the Troop Commander of the Delaware River & Bay Authority, as well as Federal partners to include; the local FBI, Secret Service and DEA Agents in charge.
The association meets monthly to coordinate law enforcement activities and training throughout Cape May County, including the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, Cape May County Police Academy, Police Communications Networks and Intelligence Gathering Networks.
