COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Committee formally authorized a request for proposals Feb. 19 for township banking services. The move came just weeks after banker Michael Clark left the governing body after losing his reelection bid.
Mayor Timothy Donohue said the move was not made out of any dissatisfaction with the current providers of banking services. “Our banks have done a fine job,” Donohue said.
Donohue said that it is prudent for the township to reexamine service providers and see if a better arrangement exists that would benefit the taxpayer.
