COURT HOUSE – Middle Township ended one vestige of an earlier era, when Middle Township Committee March 15 adopted an ordinance allowing the same hours for the sale or retail consumption of alcohol on Sunday, as on any other day of the week, 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
The existence of laws restricting certain activities on Sundays has a long history. Such regulations existed in the colonial past and throughout American history. Some have required Supreme Court adjudication.
Nothing so dramatic occurred this week, in Middle Township, but another small pebble from what was once a large, stone wall was removed. Will anyone drink to that?
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
