Mayor’s Toy and Food Drive Brought Holiday Cheer to 17 Families

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – Each December, Mayor Leonard Desiderio hosts a Holiday Toy and Food Drive, during which he and a group of dedicated volunteers collect food, gift cards, toys and other items for local families in need. 2014 was the 22nd year for the annual event.
Dec. 22, the mayor and his “elves” gathered at City Hall, where they loaded trucks with the many gifts that were donated by residents, civic groups, businesses and private organizations. Then, they drove caravan-style throughout the community, spreading holiday cheer and brightening the Christmases of 17 less-fortunate families.
