PETERSBURG – Upper Township Mayor Richard Palombo shared, what he termed, “welcome good news, especially after so much COVID information,” with Committee members at their March 23 regular meeting.
“Both I and the mayor of Somers Point received letters that the NJDOT (Department of Transportation) will finally be opening, on May 6, our long-awaited bike and walking trail associated with, and adjacent to, the Great Egg Harbor Bridge construction,” he said. “We all know the bridge was finished a couple of years ago, and we’ve all been eagerly hoping for the opening of the trail so we could enjoy this enhancement, so this is great news for everyone, residents and visitors alike.”
