By Rachel Rogish

WILDWOOD ─ City commissioners passed an ordinance March 16 prohibiting marijuana dispensaries in the municipality, pending state legalization of its recreational use. According to the ordinance, no “appropriate zones” exist for the dispensing of medical or recreational marijuana. Given public safety concerns, the commission deemed prohibition in the city’s best interest. The ordinance was presented on second reading and will become effective 20 days from passage.
