VILLAS – Lower Township Police Department March 2 issued a special weather advisory to the residents of Lower Township:
“The current coastal storm is presenting moderate rainfall/sleet and high winds with stronger gusts. The storm effects began today (March 2) and will last through Saturday (March 3), especially during the high-tide periods. For those residents in prone-to-flood areas, please move your vehicles to higher ground and stay alert to any updates or changes in the storm.
“Residents experiencing non-life threatening events or power outages that may require a response from a utility provider or other entity are asked to use the non-emergency line, 609-886-2711. As always, in an emergency, dial 911.
“We will continue to monitor the storm throughout the weekend and issue additional advisories as needed.”
