Lower Flags to Honor Slain Soldier

TRENTON — Gov. Jon Corzine has ordered United States and New Jersey flags to be flown at half-staff on June 29 in honor of Army Private First Class David J. Bentz III, of Newfield, killed in Baghdad, Iraq.
Bentz, a 2004 graduate of Clayton High School entered the Army after graduation and served in the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat T eam, 3rd Infantry Division.
He has been recommended for some of the nation’s highest military honors.
The gubernatorial order includes all state departments, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities.
