NORTH WILDWOOD – Mayor Patrick Rosenello announced that the Lou Booth Amphitheater project would not happen until after summer 2020.
Rosenello said the reason involves a Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA) permit from the state Department of Environmental Protection. The city received a $400,000 grant in late January from the state Department of Community Affairs for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements at the site.
City Council filed the grant Dec. 3, as an item of revenue appropriation into the budget, per state regulations. City Clerk Scott Jett said the paperwork is generally filed with the state later in the year. Rosenello said the project is slated to begin in fall 2020.
