LoBiondo Sets Clinic Date for VA Healthcare Enrollment

By Herald Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Continuing his commitment to South Jersey veterans, U.S. Rep. Frank A. LoBiondo (R-2nd) on Tuesday, June 2 detailed plans to hold the next enrollment clinic in Vineland at the Veterans Memorial Home to help local veterans in determining their eligibility and, if eligible, facilitate their participation in the VA healthcare system. The Vineland enrollment clinic will be held on Monday, June 15.
“These clinics continue to assist many eligible South Jersey veterans in accessing the excellent healthcare and other services offered by the VA. Hundreds of local veterans, who were previously unaware of their eligibility status, can now tap into the VA’s services,” said LoBiondo. “I remain committed to our veterans and will con-tinue to host these clinics while working to expand their access to healthcare.”
Since 2006, LoBiondo has hosted five enrollment clinics across South Jersey, with sessions in Somers Point, Court House, Elmer, and Vineland. As during previous clinics, there will be representatives from the VA to answer your questions and explain enrollment eligibility. Veterans who plan to attend are asked to bring their DD-214 forms and tax forms.
Additionally, the VA recently announced it has re-opened enrollment to its medical benefits package for Cate-gory 8 veterans by increasing the income threshold by 10 percent. Category 8 veterans are strongly encouraged to attend and enroll.
Details of the Veterans Enrollment Clinic on Monday, June 15 are as follows:
Cumberland County
Vineland Veterans Memorial Home – Auditorium
524 Northwest Boulevard, Vineland
9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Veterans can also determine their eligibility and enroll in the VA healthcare system, and ask additional questions as well, by contacting the VA at 1-877-222-VETS or visit the website www.va.gov .
For additional information, veterans are encouraged to call Bill Carson in LoBiondo’s Mays Landing Office at 609-625-5008 or 1-800-471-4450.
