League Learns About Social Media Security

MARMORA – Middle Township Police Detective Sgt. Doug Osmundsen addresses Cape May County League of Municipalities March 24 at Tuckahoe Inn on the subject of social media security for public employees. He urged officials to inform their municipal employees to be cautious about what they post or how they respond to posts in social media. He cited examples when public employees lost their jobs because of what they posted. Once online, such items linger and have caused grief for many who thought they were only being snide or funny.
