‘Jennifer Wetzel Day’ Proclaimed

Jennifer Wetzel

By Shay Roddy

WILDWOOD – Wildwood honored one resident for her work, leading clean-up efforts of trash and personal belongings left behind in the staging area after President Donald Trump’s rally Jan. 28.
Mayor Peter Byron proclaimed Feb. 12, 2020 “Jennifer Wetzel Day.”
“Wetzel was instrumental in organizing the effort to gather, clean and deliver blankets, chairs and tents that were left behind after the Trump rally,” Byron said.
Wetzel donated items left behind to charities, and animal shelters, helping those in need.
“We thought that was pretty special,” Byron said. “It was fantastic that someone stepped up and took the lead on this. As a result, we want to thank you.”
