PETERSBURG – Evan Holmes, of Troop 79, Marmora, was recognized by resolution during Upper Township’s Committee meeting Dec. 16, for attaining Eagle Scout rank.
Holmes created an outdoor learning space and enhanced the existing Garden Club at the municipality’s elementary school, adding four picnic tables and a handicapped-accessible ramp. He also designed and supervised the building of raised and ground-level flower beds.
Holmes’ project was cited as enabling users to connect with nature and appreciate the importance of agriculture.
