WILDWOOD ─ Resident Mary Volmer petitioned Wildwood City Commissioners for a handicap parking sign due to lack of on-site parking. At the April 25 meeting, Mayor Ernie Troiano promised Volmer the matter would be addressed. Solicitor Mary Bittner looked into the legalities and found state law provides for handicap parking for residents, contingent upon a municipality passing an ordinance. Volmer’s husband is a disabled veteran. On May 9, commissioners introduced the revised handicapped parking ordinance.
