TRENTON – Motorists who have put off getting an E-ZPass or keep forgetting to go online to sign up for one can now conveniently grab an E-ZPass On-the-Go kit at one of several Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) Agencies in the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway. Beginning Sept. 5, agencies in Hazlet (Monmouth County), Manahawkin (Ocean County) and Rio Grande (Cape May County) are official retail outlets for customers looking to easily buy E-ZPass on their next trip to the MVC.
The prepackaged On-the-Go kit, available for $31, contains everything a motorist needs to begin using E-ZPass immediately after purchase.
Prior to the MVC becoming an E-ZPass On-the-Go retailer, the kits were only available at travel plazas along the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway and at the Atlantic City Welcome Center.
E-ZPass On-the-Go is for private accounts and passenger vehicles only. E-ZPass is currently accepted wherever the E-ZPass logo is displayed, including on the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, the Atlantic City Expressway and at all Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Delaware crossings.

The Hazlet Motor Vehicle Agency is located at Airport Plaza Mall, 1374 State Route 36, Hazlet, NJ.
The Manahawkin Motor Vehicle Agency is located at Manahawkin Plaza, 712 East Bay Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ.
These agencies are open Mon.-Fri. 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tues. 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sat. 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
