NORTH WILDWOOD – “You have given my family Christmas,” resident Ed Kashmere said Dec. 3, as members of North Wildwood’s emergency medical technician (EMT) and firefighting forces received commendations for their efforts.
Kashmere suffered a heart attack Oct. 2, but was able to call 911. EMTs and firefighters arrived quickly, according to Kashmere, and he was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center.
Mayor Patrick Rosenello presented a special proclamation to Maxwell Young and Jon Edwards, firefighters, and Nancy Stanton and Jamie King, paramedics, praising their service to the community. Kashmere attributed his survival to God, and to the men and women who faithfully carry out their duties.
