By Herald Staff

CREST HAVEN — The Cape May County Fare Free operators have placed third and fourth respectively, in the CTAA National Paratransit Roadeo.
Winners of the event came to the county meeting June 24 to receive congratulations from county freeholders.
The event held in New Orleans pitted the top community transportation drivers in the nation in various physical events designed to mimic their daily duties. They included Vehicle Pre-trip, Wheelchair Securement and an Obstacle Course, testing driving skills.
Participants were also subjected to a written exam evaluating their knowledge of Federal ADA regulations, rules of the road and passenger service standards.
Each local driver was within points of taking home first prize.
