PETERSBURG – At its Feb. 10 meeting, Upper Township Committee discussed how best to support the upcoming Eagle Scout project of Andrew Lea, of Troop 55, Tuckahoe.
Lea will be constructing a walking path around the perimeter of an out-of-use dumping area, near Beacon Animal Rescue, on Butter Road.
“Andrew is a volunteer at Beacon (Animal Rescue), and recognized the need to create a safer walking route for the dogs awaiting adoption and their handlers,” explained Mayor Richard Palombo. “We’ll be working with Andrew (Lea) to see how best the township can support this worthy project.”
