DENNISVILLE – Jessica Bishop, Dennis Township administrator and chief financial officer, provided information Dec. 10 about the commitment the municipality is making to install solar energy capabilities.
“Cambria Solar Construction, located in Pleasantville, was awarded a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (SPPA) at a rate of $0.059 per kilowatt hours (kWh). The estimated electrical savings at said rate is approximately $112,000 over the course of 15 years ($7,500 per year).
“The solar array will be located next to the Dennis Township Municipal Building on Petersburg Road. The project is expected to take approximately 125 days to install from the signing of the SPPA,” explained Bishop.
