DENNSISVILLE – At its Feb. 11 meeting, Dennis Township Committee unanimously approved a resolution declaring the municipality a “Second Amendment/Lawful Gun Owner Sanctuary,” mirroring similar resolutions passed by other county municipalities, as well as county freeholders.
While the meeting had a larger than usual turnout, none spoke for or against the resolution.
Per website information, the terms “Second Amendment Sanctuary” or “Gun Sanctuary” refers to governing locales that have adopted laws or resolutions to prohibit or impede the enforcement of certain gun-control measures perceived as violating the Second Amendment.
