DENNISVILLE – The Dennis Township Committee passed a resolution Sept. 13 requesting that the county install traffic calming measures on Kings Highway.
Specifically, the resolution asks for a “lane text” at the intersection of Hagen Road and Kings Highway. The latter is a county road.
“Lane text means words painted on the road. It can include a certain speed limit or indications that a stop sign is up ahead,” Business Administrator Jessica Bishop said.
This area–and Kings Highway in general–is a highly traveled roadway in a residential zone, according to the resolution.
Over many months, residents have been expressing concerns over speeding occurring on a regular basis.
