WILDWOOD CREST ─ At the suggestion of emergency medical officials, borough commissioners introduced an update Aug. 8 to medical transport fees by amending an ordinance. In past comments, Mayor Don Cabrera said he was in “sync” with the suggestions. According to the amendment, the flat rate for medical transport remains at $650. There will be extra charges for oxygen administration and supplies, disposable cervical collars, Naloxone (Narcan), epinephrine auto-injector, and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). The fees range from $300 at the highest to $20 at the lowest per item. First passage was made during the commissioners’ meeting.
